160 Notice of increased charge for transport of certain goods
(1) If a common carrier sets an increased charge for the transport of
schedule 2 packaged goods, the common carrier must clearly display,
in a public part of the place where goods are received for transport, a
legible notice setting out the increased charge for the transport of the
goods.

(2) A person is bound by the notice even if the person does not have
actual knowledge of it.
(3) If a common carrier receives schedule 2 packaged goods from a
person for transport in the circumstances mentioned in section 159 (3)
(Liability of carriers for certain goods worth more than $20), but does
not comply with subsection (1)—
(a) the carrier is liable under the common law for the loss of, or
damage to, the goods; and
(b) if the person has paid an increased charge for the transport—the
carrier must refund the increased charge.
