407 Renewal of leases by children
(a) a child could, under a lease or other agreement or arrangement,
be compelled to renew a lease if the child were not a child; and
(b) 1 of the following people applies to the Supreme Court for the
renewal:
(i) the child;
(ii) someone for the child;
(iii) a person entitled to the renewal of the lease.
(2) The Supreme Court may, by order, direct a nominated person to
renew the lease for the child and, if necessary for the renewal of the
lease, accept the surrender of an existing lease.
(3) A renewal of a lease under an order under subsection (2) must, except
so far as the Supreme Court orders otherwise, be in accordance with
the right of renewal.
