255 Management of land during childhood
(a) a beneficial interest in land is held in trust for a child; and
(b) the trustees of the beneficial interest are—
(i) if the settlement that created the interest appointed trustees
of the interest—the trustees appointed; or
(ii) if the settlement that created the interest did not appoint
trustees of the interest but there are trustees of the
settlement—the trustees of the settlement, unless the
settlement or an order of the Supreme Court that appointed
the trustees of the settlement or their predecessors in office
provides otherwise; or
(iii) in any other case—people appointed as trustees of the
beneficial interest by the Supreme Court on the application
of a litigation guardian of the child.
Note Settlement is defined in s 200.
(2) The trustees of the interest may take possession of, hold and manage
the land for the child.
(3) This section does not apply so far as a contrary intention appears from
the settlement that created the beneficial interest of the child.
