211 Tenants in common of equitable estate acquiring legal
estate
(a) 2 or more people are beneficially entitled as tenants in common
to an equitable estate in property; and
(b) they are or become entitled in their own right (whether as joint
tenants or tenants in common) to the legal estate in the property;
and
(c) their legal estate in the property is equal to, and coextensive
with, their equitable estate in the property.
(2) The legal and equitable estates in the property are both to be held by
them as tenants in common unless they otherwise agree.
