Commonwealth legislation
The instrument prescribes three narrow categories of "excluded proceedings" for the Civil Dispute Resolution Act 2011’s subsection 17(1) — certain bankruptcy sequestration actions, specified company winding‑up applications tied to statutory demands, and reviews of registrars’ decisions — so parties in those cases are treated as outside s.17(1)’s scope. It reduces that statutory reach, creates an added compliance/interpretive step for advisers and courts, and expires at the start of 1 October 2027.
