These Regulations temporarily extend the life of certain aviation instruments made under the old Civil Aviation Regulations that would have expired on 30 June 1995, keeping them in force until 30 June 1996 and preserving their original effect unless amended or revoked.

It affects airlines, pilots and aviation businesses by preventing a sudden regulatory gap and giving regulators a one‑year window to review or replace those instruments.
