Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This instrument repeals (cancels) Civil Aviation Order 108.23 — an older aviation safety regulation.

Who it affects: Pilots, airlines, and aviation operators who were previously required to comply with CAO 108.23. Once this instrument takes effect, that specific order no longer applies.

How it works:

Made by: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) under the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988.
Timing: The repeal takes effect automatically the day after this instrument is officially registered.
Effect: CAO 108.23 is completely removed from aviation law.

Why it matters: This is regulatory housekeeping — removing an outdated or unnecessary rule to simplify compliance for the aviation industry.
