#### 39 Interest on judgment debt 39 Interest on judgment debt > > (1) This rule applies if a party to proceedings has made a successful civil claim against another party for the payment or recovery of any debt, demand or damages (whether liquidated or unliquidated). > > > (2) Interest is payable on the outstanding balance for the time being of money adjudged by the Tribunal to be payable and which, being due, remains unpaid. > > > (3) Such interest is payable at a rate equal to the rate for the time being prescribed for the purposes of section 101 of the [Civil Procedure Act 2005](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2005-028).
