70 Destruction of animal (1) The CEO may arrange for an animal to be destroyed if: (a) the animal is in the pound, is seized or abandoned or is found on public land; and (b) the animal is diseased, injured, savage, destructive, unclaimed, unregistered or unwanted; and (c) it is humane to destroy the animal in the circumstances. (2) For these By-laws, a dog that bites or assaults as specified in by-law 57(4) is taken to be savage or destructive.
