sec.255H Number of councillor advisors each councillor may appoint— Act , s 194C
For section 194C (1) of the Act , the following number of councillor advisors is prescribed— for the mayor—10; for the leader of the opposition—4; for the chairperson of the council unless the chairperson is the leader of the opposition—2; for a chairperson of a standing committee of the council unless the chairperson is a councillor mentioned in paragraphs (a) to (c) —2; for another councillor—1. s 255H ins 2020 SL No. 156 s 20 amd 2026 Act No. 5 s 141 s ch 1 pt 1
- (a) for the mayor—10;
- (b) for the leader of the opposition—4;
- (c) for the chairperson of the council unless the chairperson is the leader of the opposition—2;
- (d) for a chairperson of a standing committee of the council unless the chairperson is a councillor mentioned in paragraphs (a) to (c) —2;
- (e) for another councillor—1.
