sec.242 Administrative services for councillors
The council must provide each councillor with sufficient administrative services to perform their responsibilities under the Act in accordance with the local government principles. For subsection (1) , a councillor’s responsibilities under the Act include any responsibilities that the councillor may have because of an office of the council that the councillor holds, including, for example, as— the chairperson; or the leader of the opposition; or a chairperson of a committee. s 242 amd 2020 SL No. 156 s 6 (sec.242-ssec.1) The council must provide each councillor with sufficient administrative services to perform their responsibilities under the Act in accordance with the local government principles. (sec.242-ssec.2) For subsection (1) , a councillor’s responsibilities under the Act include any responsibilities that the councillor may have because of an office of the council that the councillor holds, including, for example, as— the chairperson; or the leader of the opposition; or a chairperson of a committee.
