Where the chief executive invites an officer to elect to be made voluntarily redundant, the officer must be provided a consideration period of a maximum of one month from the date of the offer in which to advise the chief executive of the officer’s election, and the chief executive must not give notice of redundancy before the end of the one month consideration period.
