If an officer is involuntarily retired, the entitlements, including paying out the balance of the retention periods, where applicable, must be calculated on the income maintenance pay rate. If an officer is involuntarily retired during the retention periods the officer’s date of retirement is the date that the officer would have retired after the retention period ceased, not the date of the involuntary retirement. All final entitlements must be calculated from the latter date.
