For employees who take long service leave and return to duty following completion of their long service leave, or for employees who take payment in lieu of long service leave, their long service leave credit is calculated based on their aggregate completed years of eligible employment (e.g. the period 1 February 2009 to 31 July 2021 equates to 12 years for long service leave calculation).
