If an employee whose period of employment is not less than one year dies, the chief executive may authorise payment of an amount equal to the amount that would have been payable to the employee if the employee had, on the day the employee died, ceased to be an employee otherwise than because of death, on or after, the employee attaining the minimum retiring age.
