Subject to this clause, the chief executive must approve an application by an officer employed on a full-time basis who returns to work after accessing birth leave, primary care giver leave, adoption, permanent or long term care leave or parental leave, to work on a part-time basis up until the date which is 3 years from the birth or adoption of a child or the granting of parental responsibility of a foster child.
