32 Extraordinary vacancies
The seat of any member of the trustees of Christ College Trust or of the board of any institution shall become vacant by his death or resignation, or by his becoming bankrupt or insolvent, or going to reside out of Tasmania, or by his refusal or incapacity to act, or if he shall neglect to attend the meetings of the trustees or the board of which he is a member for the space of 6 months without leave of absence previously obtained. Any extraordinary vacancy shall be filled up within 3 months after the same shall have arisen, in the same manner as the person originally appointed a member was appointed, and, failing such new appointment within 3 months of the vacancy occurring, the trustees or board may elect a member to the vacant seat. Any member appointed to fill an extraordinary vacancy shall hold office for the remainder of the period for which the member whose seat had become vacant had originally been appointed.
