226 Confidentiality of conciliation conferences S. 226(1) amended by No. 52/2013 s. 23(2). (1) Evidence of anything said or done or admissions made at a conciliation conference is only admissible in a proceeding before a court if the court grants leave or all the parties to the conciliation conference consent. (2) A court may only grant leave under subsection (1) if satisfied that it is necessary to do so to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child. S. 226(3) amended by No. 52/2013 s. 23(2). (3) Subject to subsection (4), a person who attends a conciliation conference must not disclose any statement made at, or information provided to, the conference without the leave of the Court or the consent of all the parties to the conciliation conference. (4) Nothing in subsection (3) prevents— S. 226(4)(a) amended by No. 52/2013 s. 23(2). (a) the convenor making a record of the proceedings at the conciliation conference; (b) discussions taking place between a person who attended the conference and his or her legal representative; (c) discussions taking place between the legal representatives of persons who attended the conference; (d) discussions taking place between protective interveners about the conference.
