19 Secretary may authorise person in charge of community service to act S. 19(1) amended by No. 17/2023 s. 44. (1) The Secretary may authorise the person in charge of a community service or any person for the time being acting in or performing the duties of that person to exercise or perform on the Secretary's behalf any function or power conferred on the Secretary by or under— (a) section 282; or S. 19(1)(b) repealed by No. 4/2017 s. 17(2). S. 19(1)(c) amended by No. 61/2014 s. 8. (c) section 320(1) (to the extent that it applies to the approval of persons as suitable to have parental responsibility for a child); or (d) section 324. (2) An authorisation under subsection (1) must be made by instrument and with the agreement of the person in charge of the community service, or of the person acting in or performing the duties of that person, at the time the authorisation is made.
