> > (1) If criminal proceedings are to be commenced against a child otherwise than by way of court attendance notice, and the child is not released (with or without bail under the [Bail Act 2013](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2013-026)), the child shall be brought before the Children’s Court as soon as practicable.
