#### 39 Definitions 39 Definitions > In this Division— > > authorised officer means— > > > (a) an officer who is declared by the regulations to be an authorised officer for the purposes of this Division, or > > > (b) an officer who belongs to a class of officers who are declared by the regulations to be authorised officers for the purposes of this Division. > > Director-General means the person for the time being holding office or acting as the Director-General of the Department of Juvenile Justice. > > officer means an officer or temporary employee, within the meaning of the [Public Sector Management Act 1988](/view/html/repealed/current/act-1988-033), employed in the Department of Juvenile Justice or in the Department of Corrective Services. > > **s 39:** Am 1989 No 75, Sch 1 (17); 1994 No 95, Sch 1.
