#### 54 Assessment of person’s capacity for parental responsibility 54 Assessment of person’s capacity for parental responsibility > > (1) The Children’s Court may, for the purposes of an assessment order, appoint a person to assess the capacity of a person with parental responsibility, or who is seeking parental responsibility, for a child or young person to carry out that responsibility. > > > (2) Such an assessment may be carried out only with the consent of the person whose capacity is to be assessed. > > > (3) This Division applies to such an assessment in the same way as it applies to the assessment of a child or young person.
