#### 38B Amendment of parent responsibility contracts 38B Amendment of parent responsibility contracts > > (1) The Secretary may, with the agreement of the other parties to a parent responsibility contract, vary any of the terms of the contract (but not so as to increase the period during which the contract is to be in force beyond 12 months). > > > (2) A varied parent responsibility contract has effect only if (and when) a copy of the contract that includes the variations made to it is registered with the Children’s Court. > > > (3) A registered varied parent responsibility contract has effect as such only from the date it is registered until the end of the period originally specified in the contract for its duration or for the period as varied by agreement under this section. > > **s 38B:** Ins 2006 No 67, Sch 1 \[9\].
