640 What is a child welfare law? child welfare law means— (a) the care and protection chapters; or (b) a law of a State that corresponds to the care and protection chapters; or
(c) a law of a State declared by the Minister under subsection (2) to be a child welfare law for this chapter. (2) The Minister may declare a law of a State to be a child welfare law for this chapter if satisfied that the law corresponds, or substantially corresponds, to the care and protection chapters.
