501FAppointment of chair of panel

501F Appointment of chair of panel (1) The Minister must appoint a chair of the therapeutic support panel. (2) The appointment of the chair is in addition to the appointments made under section 501E. (3) The Minister must not appoint someone unless satisfied that the (a) has the expertise or experience to be the chair of the panel; and (b) is otherwise suitable to be the chair.

(4) In considering whether someone is suitable to be a chair of the panel, the Minister— (a) must consider relevant information of the kind mentioned in section 65 (1), definition of suitability information, paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) about the person; and (5) The appointment of the chair is for not longer than 5 years.
