#### 83 Persons who may be parties to agreements (1) An agreement is a child support agreement only if it is made between: (a) 2 parents of a child who, under section 25, would be able to properly make an application for administrative assessment of child support for the child in relation to whom the agreement is made on the day on which the agreement is entered into; or (b) one or both parents of a child, and a non‑parent carer of the child, who, under sections 25 and 25A, would be able to properly make an application for administrative assessment of child support for the child in relation to whom the agreement is made on the day on which the agreement is entered into. (2) If there is a party to the agreement in relation to whom subsection (1) does not apply, that party is to be disregarded for the purposes of this Act. (3) Subsection (2) does not affect the operation of the agreement in relation to that party for any other purpose.
