sec.48 Prescribed child safe entities may disclose confidential information

This section applies in relation to the following entities (each a prescribed CSS entity )— the commission; a sector regulator for a child safe entity; a child safe entity; a public sector entity under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 8 ; the inspector of detention services under the Inspector of Detention Services Act 2022 ; the Office of the Ombudsman established under the Ombudsman Act 2001 , section 73 ; another entity prescribed by regulation. A prescribed CSS entity may disclose confidential information to another prescribed CSS entity for any of the following purposes— to respond to a concern about a failure to implement or comply with the child safe standards or universal principle; to assist the commission in performing a function or exercising a power under chapter 2 ; to assist the commission in performing a function or exercising a power under chapter 3 by providing information about compliance with a requirement under chapter 2 by a reporting entity. (sec.48-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to the following entities (each a prescribed CSS entity )— the commission; a sector regulator for a child safe entity; a child safe entity; a public sector entity under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 8 ; the inspector of detention services under the Inspector of Detention Services Act 2022 ; the Office of the Ombudsman established under the Ombudsman Act 2001 , section 73 ; another entity prescribed by regulation. • (d) a public sector entity under the Public Sector Act 2022 , section 8 ;

• (f) the Office of the Ombudsman established under the Ombudsman Act 2001 , section 73 ;
• (g) another entity prescribed by regulation.
