67Debts arising from overpayments made before the commencement day

#### 67 Debts arising from overpayments made before the commencement day (1) In addition to the effect of item 8 of Schedule 4 to the Jobs for Families Act in respect of a debt arising from overpayments made before the commencement day, a debt arising (and as owed by either an operator or an individual) in relation to overpayments of child care benefit or child care rebate may also be recovered as if the debt was a debt of CCS or ACCS. (2) Without limiting subsection (1), a debt of child care benefit or child care rebate arising after the commencement day, or that is still unpaid on the commencement day, may be recovered by reducing payments of CCS or ACCS (and if so, the debt is taken to have been repaid to the extent of the reduction).
