50 Compliance inspection warrants
(1) A national inspector may apply to a magistrate under this section for a compliance inspection warrant in relation to a declared facility. (2) A magistrate may issue a compliance inspection warrant in relation to a declared facility if the magistrate is satisfied, by information on oath, that it is reasonably necessary to exercise inspection powers for a compliance purpose. (3) A warrant issued under this section must: (a) describe the premises to which the warrant relates; and (b) state the name of the national inspector responsible for executing the warrant; and (c) specify the period for which the warrant remains in force, which must not be more than 7 days; and (d) state whether the entry is authorised to be made at any time of the day or night or during specified hours of the day or night; and (e) state the purpose for which the warrant is issued. (4) Paragraph (3)(c) does not prevent the issue of successive warrants in relation to the same premises.
