Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This instrument adds named individuals to the list under subsection 15(1) of the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945 to give effect to paragraph 1(c) of UN Security Council Resolution 1373. It commences on gazettal and depends on the Minister’s statutory satisfaction (see Regulation 20) that each person meets the Resolution criteria. Practically, the listing brings the named persons within the Act’s asset‑dealing measures and creates obligations for anyone who deals with those persons or their assets.
