sec.23 Depositing of cheques— Act , s 70
For section 70 of the Act , the prescribed time is— if the cheque is drawn on an account held with a bank in Australia by a person other than a nonresident junket participant—5 working days; and if paragraph (a) does not apply—30 working days. In this section— nonresident junket participant means a nonresident of Queensland visiting a casino under a junket agreement within the meaning of section 85A of the Act . s 23 amd 2016 SL No. 62 s 16 (sec.23-ssec.1) For section 70 of the Act , the prescribed time is— if the cheque is drawn on an account held with a bank in Australia by a person other than a nonresident junket participant—5 working days; and if paragraph (a) does not apply—30 working days. (sec.23-ssec.2) In this section— nonresident junket participant means a nonresident of Queensland visiting a casino under a junket agreement within the meaning of section 85A of the Act .
- (a) if the cheque is drawn on an account held with a bank in Australia by a person other than a nonresident junket participant—5 working days; and
- (b) if paragraph (a) does not apply—30 working days.
