18 Duration of casino licence (1) A casino licence remains in force for the period for which it was granted, as specified in the licence, unless it is sooner cancelled or surrendered under this Act. S. 18(2) inserted by No. 73/2014 s. 3. (2) Despite subsection (1), the Melbourne Casino Licence remains in force until 18 November 2050, unless it is sooner cancelled or surrendered under this Act. S. 18(3) inserted by No. 73/2014 s. 3. (3) The Commission must amend the Melbourne Casino Licence to reflect the operation of subsection (2) and issue the amended licence to the Melbourne Casino Operator. S. 18(4) inserted by No. 73/2014 s. 3. (4) Section 16 does not apply to the amendment of the Melbourne Casino Licence under subsection (3).
