Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This instrument designates hundreds of official air routes — the "highways in the sky" — across Australian-controlled airspace, specifying precise navigation points, altitude bands, and traffic rules that aircraft must follow.
It affects commercial and general aviation pilots, air traffic controllers, and flight planners by standardizing route use and position reporting to maintain safe separation and efficient traffic flow around busy terminals and across Australia.

Zoe can write the in-depth analysis on top of the summary above: how it works, who it affects and what each part actually does.
