Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument temporarily exempts Pel-Air Aviation Pty Ltd from the requirement to fit approved flight data recorder systems to four Hawker Beechcraft B200C aircraft (VH‑VAD, VH‑VAE, VH‑VAH, VH‑VAI). The exemption runs from the day after registration until 31 December 2013.

It matters because flight data recorders provide critical technical data for accident investigation; exempting these aircraft reduces the amount of recorded information that would be available if an incident occurred.
