Horizontal limits
- The horizontal limits of an area of airspace are defined in this Schedule as being either:
(a) a circle with a radius of a stated length centred on a specified point (see, for example, the description of YBBB/ALPHA below); or
(b) the coordinates of a number of geographical points with, occasionally, a direction that one is to go from one of those points to the next along a particular route (see, for example, the description of YBBB/AEROPELICAN below).
-
If the horizontal limits of an area of airspace are defined in this Schedule as mentioned in paragraph (1) (a), then, the circumference of the circle concerned makes up the horizontal limits of that area.
-
If the horizontal limits of an area of airspace are defined in this Schedule as mentioned in paragraph (1) (b), then, the horizontal limits of that area consist of imaginary straight lines running:
(a) from the first of the geographical points defined to the second; and
(b) then from the second to the third; and
(c) so on, to the last geographical point defined (which is the same as the first one);
except if, in the definition of the horizontal limits, a direction is given to follow a particular route between 2 geographical points, then, between those 2 points, the route indicated is the horizontal limit.
