Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This instrument imposes a simple safety rule for pilots in the manoeuvring area at Australian aerodromes with stop bars: stop at any lighted stop bar and wait, proceeding only when the lights are turned off.

It affects all pilots operating where stop bars are installed and matters because it prevents runway incursions and collisions by ensuring aircraft do not enter active runways or critical areas until the stop bars are cancelled. It applies only when published in the AIP or NOTAMs.
