Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This instrument exempts Virgin Australia International from the usual cabin‑crew minimums for its Boeing 737‑800s configured with 189 seats, instead requiring one cabin attendant per 50 passenger seats (rounded up)—so at least four attendants on a full 189‑seat aircraft.

It only applies to that airline, that aircraft configuration, and charter or regular public transport flights, and bars any changes to emergency procedures or exit/assistance arrangements without CASA’s prior written approval.
