Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument gives Macair Airlines (ARN 539853) a temporary exemption to operate ATR 42-500 (50-seat) flights with only one cabin attendant instead of the usual crew. It affects Macair and its passengers on those aircraft.

To mitigate the reduced crew, the airline must ensure able-bodied occupants in exit rows (minimum two per row) and provide/confirm safety briefings on exit operation. The exemption runs from 11 Sep 2007 to 30 Sep 2008.
