This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This exemption allowed Balloon Aloft (Australia) Pty Ltd to operate a single balloon (VH‑VIM) without the normally required cabin attendant, provided strict safety conditions were met: the pilot’s emergency-briefing duties were documented, passengers were evenly distributed across the four compartments and positioned to hear the pilot, and all other applicable Civil Aviation Orders were followed. It applied only to that company and aircraft and expired in June 2007.
