Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
This instrument grants Balloon Aloft (Australia) Pty Ltd an exemption to operate one hot-air balloon (Cameron 315 VH‑VIE) with 16 passengers without a cabin attendant, allowing the pilot to perform briefing and emergency duties instead.
The exemption is conditional — pilot duties must be documented, passengers evenly distributed across four compartments, all passengers must hear the pilot, and all other Civil Aviation Orders apply (with two noted exceptions). It applied only to this operator/aircraft and expired in June 2007.
