Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument gives Jetstar Airways a temporary exemption allowing it to operate specified Airbus A321-200 and A320-200 aircraft with fewer cabin attendants than normally required — provided it carries at least one cabin attendant per 50 passenger seats.

The exemption is conditional: Jetstar must not alter its emergency procedures or able-bodied passenger policies without CASA’s written approval. It replaces a prior direction and automatically expires after the term set in the instrument.
