Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This instrument grants Eastern Australia Airlines (ARN 401654) a temporary, limited exemption to staff certain DHC8-300 aircraft configured for 50 seats with one cabin attendant instead of the usual ratio. It applies only to specified charter and training flights and requires CASA approval for any changes to emergency or able‑bodied passenger procedures and inclusion in the operations manual.

It matters because it reduces crew numbers and costs for those flights while keeping safety controls and a fixed expiry date.
