50 Area‑based emissions avoidance projects
For subsection 53A(1) of the Act, an emissions avoidance offsets project of any of the following kinds is an area‑based emissions avoidance project: (a) a project to avoid emissions of greenhouse gases from the burning of savannas; (b) a project in relation to which the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative—Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Fertiliser in Irrigated Cotton) Methodology Determination 2015 is the applicable methodology determination.
