(1) For a project area, for each year in the reporting period, the project emissions is the sum of: (a) the emissions from synthetic fertiliser, in t CO2-e, as determined using methods consistent with those used in the National Inventory Report; and (b) the emissions from green manure in t CO2-e, in each year in which it is relevant to working out the carbon dioxide equivalent net abatement amount. (2) The parameter specified in paragraph (1)(b) must be calculated by multiplying the emissions intensity of green manure residue, in t CO2-e per hectare, by the number of hectares of green manure in the year. (3) The emissions intensity of green manure residue specified in subsection (2) must be calculated using methods consistent with those used in the National Inventory Report and assuming a yield of 2 tonnes of dry matter per hectare.
