6Duties of the Executive

#### 6 Duties of the Executive (1) It is the duty of the Executive to ensure that the effect on the environment of anything done or proposed to be done in the performance of its functions or the exercise of its powers under this Act is fully considered and that all reasonably practicable measures are taken for the protection of the environment, including measures by way of the making of appropriate provisions in agreements entered into by the Executive on behalf of the Territory. (2) In constructing a pipeline, the Executive shall ensure that, as far as practicable, the pipes are laid below the surface of the ground.
