Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation cancels (repeals) seven older sets of rules about the Naval Reserve (sea-going branch) that were made between 1938 and 1965.

What it does:

Removes outdated regulations from the statute book (the official collection of Australian laws)
Cleans up the 1938, 1940, 1942, 1943, 1945, 1949, and 1965 versions of the Naval Reserve (Sea-Going) Regulations

Who it affects:

Members of the Naval Reserve (sea-going) who were previously subject to the old regulations
Defence Force administrators who must now follow any new rules that replaced these (not shown in this text)

Why it matters: This is a housekeeping measure. It prevents confusion by formally removing old, superseded rules so that only current regulations apply. Without this cleanup, someone might accidentally try to enforce a 1938 rule that no longer reflects current practice.
