Division 1.—Preliminary.

In this Part, unless the contrary intention appears, “member” means—

(a) a male member of the Australian Regular Army or the Regular Army Supplement, other than a person enrolled in the Corps of Staff Cadets; or

(b) a member of the Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps or the Women’s Royal Australian Army Corps appointed or enlisted for service in the Australian Regular Army or in the Regular Army Supplement.
