Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: This regulation completely scraps the old "Naval and Air Civilian Staff Regulations" from 1942.

Who it affects: Civilian employees working for the Navy and Air Force, and the defence departments that employed them.

Why it matters: It wipes the slate clean by removing the previous rules that governed how civilian staff were hired, paid, and managed in Australia’s naval and air defence forces. This suggests those old rules were either moved into other laws, consolidated, or became unnecessary.

Key takeaway: This is a deletion notice — the 1942 regulations no longer exist from December 1956 onwards.
