Plain English Summary

What this does

This regulation cancels (repeals) the Coal Production (War-time) Regulations from 1944. It is a housekeeping measure that removes the detailed wartime rules created during World War II to control coal production.

Who it affects

This affects coal producers and anyone who was still subject to the 1944 regulations, effectively freeing them from those specific wartime controls.

Why it matters

Made in 1955—ten years after the war ended—this regulation tidies up the statute book by removing outdated emergency rules that were no longer needed. It does not create new obligations; it simply ends old ones.
