Commonwealth legislation
This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.
These Regulations, made under the Superannuation Act 1922–1942, repeal earlier rules and set the mechanical details of Commonwealth superannuation: when payroll deductions start, the time allowed for employees to elect additional contributions, age‑based fortnightly contribution rates (in schedules), pension paydays and pro‑rata calculations, documentary checks for pensioners, a medical‑report fee and a penalty for false information. They apply to Commonwealth employees, officers, pensioners, widows and children and determine who pays, when payments occur and what administrative steps officials must take.
